It is important to protect the cornea when treating the eyelids or the surrounding areas with RF energy. Standard corneal shields tend to migrate around the eye (which can be extremely uncomfortable for the patient) and these corneal shields also do not allow physicians to apply adequate counterforce while protecting the eye from the force applied by RF and lid-cleaning hand pieces.
Our flexible handle design provides more control over the lens, allowing physicians to apply sufficient counterforce and anchor the lens, while offering RF and lid debridement procedures over and around the patient’s eyelids.
